Política, asuntos de género y medios de comunicación. Un análisis de las redes sociales en la campaña para las elecciones al parlamento europeo de 2019

Resumen

La campaña de las elecciones europeas de 2019 se ha caracterizado por un uso intensivo de las redes sociales y una gran producción de materiales electorales publicados en estas plataformas digitales por parte de los partidos políticos nacionales y los candidatos.

Ante este escenario, el trabajo se propone analizar la comunicación política llevada a cabo por los partidos políticos de los 28 Estados miembros de la UE en las redes sociales durante las cuatro semanas previas a la jornada electoral europea de 2019. A partir de los datos recogidos por el European Elections Monitoring Center, los autores identifican los temas más importantes tratados en las nuevas arenas digitales en una perspectiva comparativa.

En particular, se centran en las "cuestiones sociales" que se incluyen en el debate político europeo. Partiendo de una visión general de los temas más debatidos por los partidos, se investigan las similitudes y diferencias entre la macrorregión europea y el grupo parlamentario europeo.
