Determinación del valor de sorción de azul de metileno para fillers mediante espectrofotometría visible

La durabilidad y flexibilidad de una mezcla asfáltica en caliente se ve afectada en gran medida por la calidad del polvo mineral que pasa la malla no 200 (filler) y que participa de entre un 3 y 12% con respecto al peso de la mezcla, uno de los parámetros que afecta tales factores es la calidad del material. Por ello, en este artículo, se tiene como objetivo proponer una metodología alternativa a la existente en México para medir la capacidad de sorción de un filler mediante espectrofotometría visible. Además, se hace un análisis a polvos minerales de diferente calidad y características en las que se demuestra una mejor repetibilidad y mejor precisión con respecto al método tradicional. Por lo que es factible implementar la metodología aquí propuesta en la normativa y practica mexicana.
