Abstract

Understanding linguistic anthropology as the study of language from an anthropological point of view, its approach and its contribution to analyze what is understood by "linguistic contact" in the general linguistic tradition is characterized. through understanding languages ”‹”‹as cultural systems, the concept of "linguistic ideology" and its contribution to understand the dynamics faced by the languages ”‹”‹in contact / conflict are presented, mainly given their heterogeneous and politically situated character, as well as to analyze their consequences At the level of the practices of the speakers in terms of their general attitudes towards these languages, linguistic loyalty and vitality, and actions at the level of promotion and / or teaching / learning. Finally, the anthropological approach and the concept of linguistic ideology are applied to analyze the situation of linguistic contact in Pehuenche communities of Alto Bío Bío within the framework of the application of the Intercultural Bilingual Education Program in their schools.
